As reported by the Washington Times on September 27, 2016, the National Science Foundation announced that Worcester Polytechnic Institute was awarded a $150,000 grant to fund research that explores the current climate of LGBT students in engineering. The research project seeks to determine the elements of supportive and inclusive learning environments, and apply these elements in engineering classrooms.
